Rockies Bound started with a simple frustration: planning a trip to the Canadian Rockies is harder than the scenery makes it look. The mountains are the easy part. It’s the logistics — shuttle reservations that sell out, parking lots full by sunrise, drive times that double once you start pulling over for every viewpoint — that catch people out.
So this is the guide we wish we’d had. Think of it as advice from a friend who has already driven these roads, caught the shuttles, and made the rookie mistakes, so your trip goes smoother.
What you’ll find here
Practical, honest guides to Banff, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Jasper, and the Icefields Parkway in between. Real routes, real timing, and the small details that actually change how a day goes — not endless listicles or filler.
How we write
Every guide comes from actually being there. We focus on what helps on the ground: when to arrive, how to get around, what’s worth your time, and what you can skip. We keep things current, because in the Rockies a shuttle schedule or a road closure can change the whole plan.
